About

Started in 2015, 200 Years Of Childhood quickly became one of the top antique doll, teddy bear and toy fairs in the country. Within a couple of years it was attracting buyers and sellers from across the UK and the world making it one of the best specialist fairs in the world.

Like many collectors’ events, COVID took its toll at the fair, however, with the support of loyal stallholders and vistors, it maintains its global position.

Founded by Hilary Pauley, one of the foremost experts in collecting teddy bears, she felt that there was a gap in the market enthusiasts and collectors of dolls, teddy bears and toys and launched her first fair in Milton Keynes and, due to demand, quickly moved it to the London venue where it now resides.

Hilary, who runs the Teddy Bear Museum is proud to say “It was like being in a museum where everything was for sale!”

At the fair, you will find the best of past childhood favourites, from all genres, for sale by the most respected dealers and collectors online.

2026 brings some changes, where the name of the event officially becomes the London International Antique Doll, Bear & Toys Fair with its management being undertaken by Paul Kelly. Hilary has commented that at her age, she really should be slowing down, however, will still play an active part in ensuring that the event keeps its position in the doll, bear & toy world.

Paul has been running collectors events since 2007 and has run some of the UK’s biggest antiques fairs, including Alexandra Palace (the biggest indoor event in the UK), Newmarket Racecourse (the biggest one day fair in East Anglia), Bermondsey Antique Market (the oldest antiques event in the UK) and several more.
